FROM BUSINESS WEEK: General Motors Co., the biggest U.S. carmaker, will maintain its focus on scaling back spending and eliminating bureaucracy while working to gain market share and post a profit this year, Vice Chairman Bob Lutz said.
“Restructuring is largely a work in progress,” Lutz said today in a Bloomberg Television interview at the Geneva auto show. “If you tell yourself that you’re done, ‘we don’t have to cut any more costs,’ that probably means you’re complacent.”
