A 1973 Porsche 911 2.7 RS Touring is one of the ultimate Porsche classics. It was a simple lightweight track scorcher in its day. The larger flat-6 displacement and brakes, reworked and stiffened suspension with wide rear wheels and fenders set it apart from a standard 911. Oh, and let’s not forget that ridiculously cool iconic ducktail spoiler.
Porsche released this excellent informative video of a pristine yellow ’73 RS touring on their YouTube channel. The best part is when they release the RS into its natural habitat. It looks naturally balanced and poised through the corners as it’s not overpowered nor overweight. Very impressive, indeed.
