FROM MOTOR TREND: While almost every automaker has their attention set on Frankfurt, the Formula 1 racing world is changing ever so slightly. According to reports, Lotus will make a return to F1 next season, and BMW Sauber has a buyer for its racing team.
The FIA announced today that it will petition the existing F1 teams for an unprecedented 28-car grid beginning in Melbourne in 2010. The 13th team position has been confirmed to be filled by the Lotus F1 Team, while the controversial 14th team is held by BMW Sauber’s buyer. MORE>
