This 1961 Chevy Biscayne has executed the perfect period hot rod look. The shiny black full-size Chevy is powered by a 409ci big block that’s properly mated to a close ratio Borg Warner four-speed transmission. It’s for sale on eBay.
The slight nose-up stance, chrome s/s Cragar wheels and vintage style lettering live in perfect harmony. 409 music exits through the simple white side pipes.
Silver blue dash with a radio delete plate, matching stock steering wheel, half-sweep tachometer set the traditional hot rod look nicely. I love the chrome Hurst sick and the left foot pedal.
The 409 W engine is a rare and refreshing sight. It looks great in factory Chevy orange, grey valve covers and a black stock tin air cleaner. White headers and vintage look battery are some of the many nice period details within the spotless engine bay.
It’s important to note that this car can perform, the seller has won numerous drag racing trophies. Also, it appears the lettering may be decals, the car may look better without them. It’s fast, loud and has classic American style- what’s not to like?
