This yellow 914 is one of the few to have the Porsche 2.0L flat-6 installed on the assembly line in 1970. The car and engine have been rebuilt by a reputable Porsche specialist, Emory Motorsports. It appears fantastically stock on the outside, but don’t be fooled, it contains many performance upgrades for track day duty. It’s for sale here on Ebay.
The Yokohama wrapped Fuchs has been upgraded in size to 6×15, most likely to accommodate the large cross drilled rotors.
Peek inside and you start to get an idea that this is no standard 914. The GT style driver’s seat paired with a 5-point harness and 914-6 GT style roll bar look great, but means serious business.
In stock form the 914-6 produced approximately 106 hp, but this one produces 146 HP after being rebuilt using a long list of performance enhancing parts.
This is a great classic car at a reasonable price, it’s quietly begging to be driven. You certainly couldn’t build one like it cheaper. The 914-6 is an undervalued car, it’s only a matter of time before they start going up in price.

914s are slowly growing on me. They look funky but they handle great with the mid mounted engine.
I think the 914-6 should have been the inspiration for the Boxster way back when. It certainly is headed towards ICON STATUS.
Now that Porsche has been annexed by VW they could easily make the next “VW-Porsche 914”
